When you book with ICare Homestay, you’re agreeing to the following Terms and Conditions

Nature of the Service

ICare Homestay provides short-term supportive accommodation in a private home environment. The service includes overnight accommodation, support and supervision, nutritious meals and transport from hospital and to next day medical appointments.

ICare Homestay does not provide medical, clinical or nursing care.

Suitability of Stay

All stays are subject to an initial discussion to ensure the service is suitable for the client’s needs.

ICare Homestay reserves the right to decline, refuse or discontinue a stay if the client’s needs exceed the scope of the service or if safety or wellbeing may be compromised.

Bookings and Payments

A booking is confirmed once the service agreement is completed and payment is received.

Guest Responsibilities

Client’s or their representatives agree to:

  • Provide accurate and relevant information prior to the stay

  • Inform ICare Homestay of any changes to needs or circumstances

  • Treat the home, host and others with respect

  • Follow reasonable house guidelines provided prior to or during the stay

Refund & Cancellation Policy

The following cancellation terms apply:

  • Cancellations made more than 7 days prior to check-in will receive a full refund

  • Cancellations made within 7 days of check-in will receive a 50% refund if rescheduling is not an option

  • ICare Homestay may offer a full refund at its discretion

  • All cancellations must be made in writing via email

Your Privacy Matters

At ICare Homestay, your privacy is treated with care and respect.

To provide safe post-surgery support and transport, we may collect personal details such as your name, contact information, emergency contact, and relevant health information (for example discharge details, mobility needs or medication information).

We only collect information that is necessary to support you properly.

Your information is:

  • Stored securely

  • Kept confidential

  • Only shared with your consent (for example with your GP or hospital if needed)

  • Never sold or used for marketing without permission

You can request access to your information at any time.

If you have any concerns about how your information is handled, please contact us directly so we can resolve the matter promptly.

ICare Homestay aims to comply with the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles.

Feedback and complaints

We welcome your feedback - both positive and negative so that we can improve our service. We will respond to any complaints within 7 days.

ICare Homestay provides non-medical supportive accommodation only.

While the owner has extensive experience as a Registered Nurse, no nursing, medical, clinical, or allied health services are provided as part of the ICare Homestay service.

ICare Homestay does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or clinical supervision, and is not responsible for medical outcomes.

In the event of an emergency, reasonable steps will be taken to seek appropriate assistance, including contacting emergency services where required.
